Into its 19th year, the AYFDC, presented by VivoCity Shopping Centre, is a significant regional talent search that showcases up-and-coming talents from all over Asia. Since its inception 18 years ago, AYFDC is still the important regional talent search that has paved the way for many young fashion designers in the fashion industry. Eight foreign contestants from five countries, namely China, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam will join the winner and 1st runner-up from the Singapore Fashion Designers Contest (SFDC) to vie for the top prize of S$8,000 cash prize and an internship programme in New York with internationally famous designer Vivienne Tam.
